T-V Broadcasts  Use "Storm Buffet" Segments

The Safe From the Storm  broadcast on Milwaukee's WTMJ-TV4, April 14th 2007, incorporated  numerous  segments  from  our  new  fund  raising  digital  video  disc   Storm Buffet.

Following the instant success of  Titans of the Sky,  STORM BUFFET completely breaks the mold and rips the envelope by delivering non-stop storm imagery from start to finish! This fantastic DVD collection of giant rotating  Supercells, Hail, Lightning, and Tornadoes uses extensive time lapse editing making hours into minutes and minutes into seconds. All choreographed to original music. It is literally a feast of storm imagery.

"I have a copy....It's awesome.....well engineered, educational, and entertaining."

(Rusty Kapela - National Weather Service, Milwaukee)

"Memorizing and eye catching video to very complimentary music."
(Gabriel Stelloh, Saint Francis Wisconsin)

Using the huge video vault of Sky Dance Productions,  Storm Buffet incorporates 10 seasons of the very best video from professional storm chasers Kinney Adams, Bill Ried, Brian Morganti, Curt Kaplan, Todd Sprinkman, and Chris Gullickson. These veterans have covered Tornado Alley from the Midwest to the Great Plains.

Recommended Audiences:  Gift givers, weather watchers and enthusiasts, storm spotters, chasers, emergency managers, teachers, students, educators, aviation, media,  fire & police, outdoor and sports personnel, meteorologists, and folks living in rural areas.

Storm Buffet Menu

Chapter 1,  RIVERS OF WIND

The clouds gather in the rivers of wind until a Supercell is born. This spectacular time lapse imagery shows the king of thunderstorms percolating and puffing in ways they are rarely seen even by the experts. Then a plethora of tornadoes, likes of which are seldom seen.

Chapter 2, CIRCUIT BREAKER

Lightning bolts  with personality! The big fat Cloud to Ground strikes, the Cloud to Cloud bolts, the dancing-branching anvil crawlers, and geometrically interlaced special effects strikes. Mix in two electrified Supercell updraft towers and it's  the 4th of July! These light shows create storms with a beat.

Chapter 3,  BIG HAIL

See and hear the affects of softball size hail stones as professional storm chasers get caught in a scary situation.  Do they make it to safety or get the big hurt? Curt Kaplan's historic video graphically shows the ugly side of chasing storms and puts everyone's nerves on the line.

Chapter 4,  RUN

May 12, 1994, Harper County Kansas: A landmark day when Mother Nature does The Wild Thing. This intercept leads to one of the most menacing looking and tightly wound updraft towers ever seen by the chase community. Then extremely rare footage of a nasty looking tornado, a anti-cyclonic swirl, and a horizontal vortex tube all in the frame!

Chapter 5,  KALEIDOSCOPE

With a few alterations and then taking "full artistic license,"  this chapter features the beauty of the skies and storms, but in ways that only your imagination has seen. Can you imagine neon lightning?

Chapter 6 SPOOKY SLOW

What you didn't see because it happens too fast. Ultra slow motion digital processing of lightning reveals the playful yet deadly nature of these 50,000 degree capricious bolts from heaven.

Chapter 7,  DASH CAM BOOGIE

This time you are in the driver's seat! You must navigate and do a successful intercept. Now the traffic, scenery, and driver safety become the biggest challenges. A high speed roller coaster ride with unexpected surprises  and a distant boiling Supercell. Can you handle the long ride safely?
