Joe “Skip” Frederick Voros
January 15th, 1947 – December 13th, 2019
Skip Voros founded the Milwaukee Area Skywarn Association and was well known throughout the Weather and Amateur Radio Communities in Southeast Wisconsin. Skip spent countless hours training others to help the National Weather Service accomplish it’s mission by providing “ground truth” observations in our area.

For those who didn’t hear, we lost a friend of ARES yesterday. Skip Voros WD9HAS passed away yesterday morning. Skip was a great partner of ARES and provided many our severe weather trainings. He was that calm voice on the radio during so many weather nets over the years. He will be deeply missed by many of us. SK WD9HAS Skip Voros RIP.
